a little bit about me…
Hello there!
I’m Taylor the blogger behind Postcard From Taylor. When I was a kid, I loved to watch Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel or House Hunters International, and picture myself exploring the faraway places I saw on the television.
Today, as a 30-something-year-old, travel has become a true passion. For me, travel is the draw to something fresh and unfamiliar. It’s the escape from mundane routines. It’s both daunting and exciting at the same time!
I created Postcard From Taylor to ease that daunting feeling while inspiring more adventure, near and far from home.

Brazil is a vast, vibrant country with diverse landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
From the lush Amazon rainforest and the expansive Pantanal to the stunning Lençóis Maranhenses, the paradise of Fernando de Noronha, the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls, the rich culture of Salvador in Bahia, and the breathtaking mountains and valleys of the Serra Catarinense.
Brazil promises adventure at every turn for every type of traveler.

books for travel
One of the most important things I’ve learned while traveling is that taking time to connect with a destination before visiting creates a much deeper sense of connection during the trip and long after I’ve left.
My favorite way to do this is through books. Before traveling, I look for novels, memoirs, mysteries, and historical accounts written by local or regionally connected authors, since they often reveal layers of meaning and perspective that go far beyond traditional guidebooks.
