Hello! I’m Taylor
Originally from Florida, I’ve lived a little bit of everywhere from Washington, DC, to Andalusia, Spain to San Diego, CA and currently, Florianópolis, Brazil!
When I was young, and binge-watching Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel or House Hunters International, faraway places always held my attention. For me, travel is the draw to something fresh and unfamiliar. It’s the escape from mundane routines. It’s both thrilling and daunting at the same time!
I admit this blog leans heavily on destinations with immense natural beauty, unique experiences, and delicious foods. Whether you’re here to learn something new about a faraway place or are planning your own adventure, I hope Postcard From Taylor entices you to keep on exploring!
Postcard Worthy Destinations
Postcard From Taylor is a source of accessible travel guides for travelers seeking dependable information about their destination. Every adventure highlighted on this site is derived from my personal experiences and shared to inspire others to create their own adventures off the beaten path, near or far from home.
This blog aims to take some guesswork out of crafting not just the perfect travel experience but one that is also practical and enriching. It is more than just drone photos and reels but detailed guides and itineraries that are easily adaptable to meet your travel desires.

More Than Just Travel
I created Postcard From Taylor to help travelers elevate their experiences by providing recommended books, articles, and documentaries to go along with the featured destinations. Travelers who dedicate a little bit of time to bond with their destination before the trip will leave with a greater sense of connection to the destination, long after they have left.
This blog includes a list of recommended books for travel that are not travel guides. They are novels, memoirs, mysteries, and historical accounts that add a different perspective and new depth to the destination.

the inspiration behind the name
Postcard From Taylor
I have my amazing mom to thank for the namesake of this travel blog! Whenever I visit somewhere new, she never fails to request a postcard from my destination.
Postcards are one of my favorite souvenirs. They can be kept for personal memories or mailed to loved ones. Postcards allow travelers to share their stories, memories, and experiences with others. And this is exactly what I hope to do through Postcard From Taylor.
